They are joined in the salon most days by their 2 dogs, Chami the Westie and Ziva the very springy Sprocker. Karen did her training in France at one of the country’s leading grooming colleges and went on to work in partnership with the college where she ran an award-winning apprentice programme in her salons, allowing students to gain practical experience in a busy salon. Alan joined the business later on after a career in the Royal Navy. He completed his formal training in 2009 and now works alongside Karen. Emphasis is given at all times to the dog’s welfare and care is taken never to overbook in the salon to ensure that dogs are never unduly stressed or the grooming process rushed. Full consultation with owners, attention to detail and quality finishing is how Karen and Alan aim to distinguish themselves from their competitors. Pet Art We display the work of 3 pet artists in the salon covering the mediums of pencil, oil and contemporary photography. Details for all 3 are available upon request.
